About the role
We are seeking an experienced asbestos, demolition, construction or building industry professional to step into a Demolition Site Inspector role.
This position focuses on pre-demolition and post-demolition site inspections, ensuring sites are properly assessed, safe, and ready for works to proceed, as well as confirming completion and site handover.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone currently working on the tools who is ready to step into a more independent, trusted field-based role with long-term stability and career development. It’s well suited to experienced asbestos workers, demolition crews or builders looking for a change of pace while staying connected to site work and making practical decisions on the ground.
What you’ll be doing
- Carry out pre-demolition site inspections to assess hazards and site readiness
- Confirm site services are safely isolated (power, gas, water)
- Identify hazards including access issues, structural risks, and asbestos concerns
- Coordinate asbestos sampling and assist with safe site preparation
- Complete post-demolition inspection to ensure sites are clean, safe, and ready for handover
What we are looking for:
- Background in demolition, asbestos, construction, building or civil works
- Strong understanding of how sites operate safely and efficiently
- Practical problem solver with good on-site decision making
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with office and supervisors
- White Card and Driver’s Licence required
Asbestos experience highly desirable, however training and licencing will be provided for the right candidate.
