About the Role
Buckland Aged Care Services is seeking a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist
to be the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors and staff in the Nursing Home. In this role, you will manage front desk operations while providing administrative support across the organisation. You will also assist the General Manager with ad-hoc tasks to support the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
This position operates on a rotating fortnightly roster, including some weekend work.
Roster Overview:
Week 1
Monday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Week2
Monday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Key Responsibilities
• Provide a welcoming and professional reception service, including greeting visitors and managing enquiries (in person, phone and email)
• Maintain a tidy, organised and efficient front desk area
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries and general correspondence
• Assist with new resident admissions, including preparing and processing
documentation and data entry
• Maintain accurate resident records and ensure documentation is completed in a
timely manner
• Provide administrative support to the General Manager and wider team as
required
• Assist with document preparation, filing and record management
• Support facility communications
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support as directed by the
General Manager
About You
Essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional
manner
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of discretion, confidentiality and integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Highly Regarded
Certificate in Business Administration or similar qualification
Previous reception or administration experience, ideally in healthcare or aged care
Experience working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
