Brokerage & Co is one of Adelaide’s fastest-growing mortgage broking firms — built on genuine expertise, exceptional client outcomes, and a reputation for doing things right. We are scaling with purpose, and marketing is now a central pillar of how we grow. This is a senior, newly created role for a strategic marketer who can lead from the front: building a nationally recognisable brand, generating high-quality demand, and laying the marketing infrastructure that will underpin our expansion across Australia.
The Head of Marketing will own the firm’s entire marketing function — from performance campaigns and lead generation to brand strategy, thought leadership, and content. You will lead a dedicated Content Creator, report directly to the Executive Director of Operations, and operate as a senior voice in the business on all things brand and growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape a firm’s identity from an early stage and grow into a genuinely executive marketing role as the business scales nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Performance Marketing:
-
Paid Campaigns: Own and scale paid digital campaigns across Google, Meta, and relevant platforms — driving a consistent, high-quality inbound lead flow that directly fuels broker pipeline.
-
SEO & Organic: Lead the firm’s organic search strategy — building authority on high-intent mortgage keywords, driving sustainable traffic growth, and turning the website into the firm’s most productive lead-generation asset.
-
Funnel & Automation: Design and manage lead capture, nurture, and attribution workflows — ensuring every inbound enquiry is tracked, followed up, and reported on with full pipeline visibility across the business.
-
Analytics & Reporting: Report regularly to the Executive Director of Operations on all marketing performance — lead volume, cost per acquisition, channel attribution, and return on marketing investment — with clear recommendations for optimisation.
2. Brand Strategy & National Positioning:
-
Brand Architecture: Define and steward the Brokerage & Co brand — building a positioning that is credible, differentiated, and built to scale beyond Adelaide into a nationally recognised mortgage brand.
-
Market Presence: Identify and activate community sponsorships, industry engagements, PR opportunities, and local events that cement Brokerage & Co’s position as the firm of choice in the markets we operate in.
-
Social & Digital Brand: Lead the firm’s social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook — building a following, driving credibility, and establishing Brokerage & Co as a trusted voice in the mortgage market.
-
Reputation & Social Proof: Actively manage the firm’s online reputation — including Google reviews, third-party platforms, and client testimonials — building the social proof that converts prospective clients into enquiries.
-
National Expansion: As the business grows, develop and execute market-entry marketing strategies for new geographies — building brand awareness and lead pipeline in new markets ahead of broker headcount arriving.
3. Thought Leadership & Content:
-
Thought Leadership: Position Brokerage & Co — and its senior brokers — as authoritative voices in the Australian mortgage and property market through a structured program of editorial content, market commentary, and media engagement.
-
Content Leadership: Direct and manage a dedicated Content Creator — setting strategy, providing clear briefs, and maintaining editorial oversight to ensure all content is on-brand, high-quality, and aligned to commercial goals.
-
Email & Nurture: Design and execute targeted email campaigns to existing clients, warm prospects, and the broader captive customer base — including rate commentary, market updates, and referral activation sequences.
-
Broker Collateral: Oversee the suite of broker-facing sales and client collateral — ensuring pitch documents, proposals, and client communications are consistently compelling, on-brand, and commercially effective.
4. Partnerships & Co-Marketing:
-
Partner Enablement: Produce the co-branded materials, pitch decks, digital assets, and onboarding collateral that referral partners need to confidently and consistently recommend Brokerage & Co — ensuring every partner channel is commercially activated from day one.
-
Co-Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute joint digital and email campaigns with referral partners – including real estate agents, accountants and conveyancers, leveraging their databases to drive qualified lead flow into the broker pipeline
-
Referral Activation: Build and manage the nurture sequences, tracking tools, and attribution reporting that convert partner-referred leads efficiently and giving the Strategic Partnerships Manager full visibility of which partner channels are performing and why
-
Partner Brand Standards: Own and enforce brand standards across all partner-facing materials — ensuring consistency, quality, and commercial effectiveness as the referral network scales nationally across new markets and partner types.
5. Visual Identity & Industry Profile:
-
Visual Direction: Own the firm’s visual identity — directing photography, video, and creative asset production to ensure all output from the Content Creator and any external suppliers is cohesive, on-brand, and built to scale nationally.
-
Awards & Recognition: Identify and manage submissions for relevant industry awards — including MFAA, AFG, and broader business recognition programs — building the firm’s credibility, generating earned media, and reinforcing Brokerage & Co’s reputation as a market leader.
-
CRM Marketing Integration: Drive tight integration between the marketing automation stack and the broker CRM — enabling end-to-end lead-to-settlement attribution, closed-loop reporting, and targeted re-engagement of the captive customer base at scale.
-
Recruitment Marketing: As the firm expands, develop and manage the Brokerage & Co employer brand — creating the content, collateral, and digital presence that attracts high-calibre brokers and operational staff to a growing, values-driven firm.
People Leadership:
The Head of Marketing is a leadership role, not just an executional one. You will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing marketing team as the business scales — starting with a dedicated Content Creator and expanding as headcount, markets, and revenue grow.
-
Team Development: Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and actively develop the skills and careers of direct reports — building a marketing team that grows in capability as the business grows in scale.
-
Hiring & Onboarding: As the team expands, take ownership of defining new roles, managing the recruitment process, and onboarding new marketing hires in partnership with the Executive Director of Operations.
-
Agency & Supplier Management: Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and suppliers — including designers, web developers, videographers, and media buyers — ensuring quality output, accountability, and cost efficiency.
-
Budget Ownership: Own the marketing budget — planning spend across channels, managing monthly reconciliation, and providing the Executive Director of Operations with clear visibility of return on marketing investment at all times
Why Brokerage & Co:
This is not a role inside a large institution where marketing is a cost centre and strategy is decided by committee. You will be the most senior marketing voice in the business — with direct access to the Executive Director of Operations and the Principal, and a genuine mandate to build something of
national significance.
You will work alongside one of Australia’s most accomplished mortgage brokers — someone who has written billions in loan settlements and carries genuine market authority. That credibility is your platform. Your job is to amplify it, extend it, and build a brand worthy of the scale we are aiming for.
Brokerage & Co is built on a culture of generosity, inclusion, and mutual success. We celebrate wins together, support each other through challenges, and believe the best outcomes happen when people feel genuinely valued. If you want ownership, visibility, and a seat at the table as the firm grows — this is the role
