Description

We are always interested in hearing from veterinary students currently studying their DVM who are looking to gain practical experience during the final years of their degree.

We offer flexible opportunities depending on your availability during the week and weekends.

Weekday Opportunities

Students available to work during the week will have the opportunity to assist with the day-to-day care and management of surgical patients, including:

  • Patient admissions and discharge support
  • Anaesthetic monitoring and post-operative recovery care
  • Patient preparation and premedication Assisting the veterinary and nursing team with surgical procedures
  • Performing patient observations (TPRs)
  • Preparing surgical equipment and fluids
  • Maintaining accurate medical records, diagnostics, and billing

This role provides valuable hands-on experience in a busy clinical environment while working alongside an experienced veterinary and nursing team.

Weekend Opportunities

Students available on weekends will primarily assist with:

  • Reception duties and client communication Answering phones and managing payments
  • Nurse consultations
  • Assisting with minor surgical procedures admitted through consultations where required
