Governance Administrator
We are looking to expand our Legal and Compliance team with the addition of a Governance Administrator in our Haymarket office. The role is a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) position. The role is a great opportunity for someone with 3+ years in an administration or coordination role who is looking for meaningful work with an organisation that gives back to the community.
The Governance Administrator plays an important role in keeping Bridge Housing’s governance running smoothly. Working closely with our General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will support the effective operation of the Board and its subcommittees by coordinating meetings, preparing and formatting Board papers, maintaining governance registers, and drafting routine minutes and correspondence. You’ll also provide broader administrative support to the Legal and Compliance team, including coordinating policy review cycles, supporting internal and external audits, and assisting with document control and record keeping. For candidates with an interest in legal work, there may also be opportunities to assist with basic legal research or paralegal-style tasks.
This role calls for someone who is highly organised, discreet, and takes pride in producing accurate, professional work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the effective operation of the Board and subcommittees by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and papers, and drafting minutes and action registers in line with agreed templates and timeframe
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date governance records, including statutory registers, conflict of interest registers, related party agreement registers, and resolution registers
- Assist with the preparation and collation of documents for the Annual General Meeting
- Support governance and compliance activities, including coordinating policy review cycles, maintaining the controlled document library, and assisting with audit preparation and documentation
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Legal and Compliance team, including diary coordination, document formatting, filing and record keeping.
- Maintain a high standard of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative or coordination role
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A professional and discreet approach – you’ll be working with sensitive and confidential information
- Experience supporting a Board, senior executive, or governance/legal function
- Relevant governance, legal administration or paralegal training is also desirable

- This role is graded as a Level 3 under the SCHADs; Bridge’s remuneration package ranges from $84,014-$90,097 plus superannuation
