Description

The Royal Albert Hotel is a lively, well-loved pub with a strong local following and a reputation for great service, welcoming atmosphere, and a busy, hands-on environment. We’re looking for a capable Duty Manager to help lead the team and keep the venue running smoothly across service, compliance, and day-to-day operations.

As Duty Manager, you’ll be a key leader on shift, supporting the General Manager and taking ownership of service standards, team performance, and guest experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and thrives on leading from the front.

What you’ll do

  • Lead shifts and ensure smooth front-of-house operations.
  • Support, coach, and motivate the team to deliver excellent service.
  • Manage customer enquiries, complaints, and any operational issues professionally.
  • Oversee compliance, safety, and venue presentation standards.
  • Assist with stock control, cash handling, and daily close procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to achieve venue goals.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Sound understanding of RSA, compliance, and safe venue operations.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Current RSA and RCG/competency cards, where required.
