About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to support and lead exploration activities across Boss Energy’s tenements. This role is instrumental in delivering high‑quality geological data, analysis and field programs that drive resource growth, reserve conversion and long-term operational success.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, traditional owners and key stakeholders to design and execute effective exploration programs while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and data integrity.

The role is offered as hybrid FIFO from Adelaide (only). When on site, this role is expected to be working a 2:1 roster campaign and when working from the office, it will be on a 5:2 basis.

Key responsibilities & activities include:

  • Maintain exemplary safety performance and compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Design and deliver geological surveys to identify and evaluate mineral opportunities
  • Interpret geological data, develop models and generate exploration targets
  • Plan and execute field programs, including schedules, budgets and forecasts
  • Collect and manage geological samples and field data to high QA/QC standards
  • Supervise and mentor exploration team members, providing day-to-day guidance
  • Work closely with contractors, landholders, traditional owners and suppliers
  • Assist with heritage surveys, land access agreements and stakeholder engagement
  • Prepare technical reports, statutory documentation and contribute to ASX reporting
  • Support short-, medium- and long-term exploration strategies to grow resources and extend Life of Mine

What you’ll need:

  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology (postgraduate qualification advantageous)
  • 8+ years’ experience in exploration geology roles
  • Experience designing and executing remote exploration programs
  • Proven leadership of small to medium-sized teams
  • Strong field and data management capability with a focus on QA/QC
  • Proficiency in geological and GIS software (Micromine, Geobank, WellCAD, QGIS desirable)
  • Senior First Aid certification
  • Current C‑Class driver’s licence
  • Defensive 4WD certification desirable
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & national police check
