About the Role

Boss Energy is seeking a Junior Exploration Geologist to support exploration programs through high-quality fieldwork, geological data collection and analysis. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or early‑career geologist to develop core technical and field skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.

The role involves significant field exposure during drilling and exploration campaigns and offers hands-on experience across data collection, geological logging and exploration planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental, heritage and compliance standards
  • Participate in field programs, including drilling and exploration campaigns
  • Conduct geological logging, sampling and drill rig support
  • Collect and manage high-quality geological data for database entry
  • Assist with geological modelling, interpretation and exploration targeting
  • Work effectively within small teams in remote locations
  • Support preparation of technical reports and exploration documentation

Skills & Experience

  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology
  • Postgraduate qualification advantageous but not essential
  • Up to 2 years’ experience in an exploration role desirable; graduates encouraged to apply
  • Strong MS Office skills (required)
  • Exposure to geological software (Micromine, Geobank, WellCAD, QGIS) desirable
  • Current C‑Class driver’s licence
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in remote field-based environments
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & national police check

The role is offered as hybrid FIFO from Adelaide (only). When on site, this role is expected to be working a 2:1 roster campaign and when working from the office, it will be on a 5:2 basis.
