About the Opportunity
We’re seeking Casual Trades Assistant for our Wellfields team at the Honeymoon Uranium Mine in South Australia for a short‑term assignment of 8–10 weeks.
You’ll work a rotating FIFO/DIDO roster (8 days on / 6 days off), flying from Adelaide (only), Chartered flights, meals, and accommodation are fully provided, so you can focus on the job.
Reporting to the Wellfields Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the construction, operation and ongoing maintenance of the Honeymoon Wellfields—ensuring safe, efficient production and strict environmental compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role will involve hands-on mechanical, civil and maintenance tasks to ensure safe, efficient and reliable wellfield operations.
We’re looking for a hands-on team member to support the pulling and installation of extraction pumps. This role includes:
- Lifting operations using a truck-mounted crane
(dogging/rigging experience highly regarded)
- Machinery operation, including rigid truck (MR/HR) and telehandler use; earthmoving equipment experience is desirable
- Mechanical work such as basic assembly, pipe fitting and pipework alignment using hand and power tools
- Manual labour in the wellfields, with the physical capability to work outdoors full-time
- Support ongoing wellfield construction activities as needed
- Take on a range of general duties in this varied, generalist role
What You’ll Need
- General labouring or trades assistant experience
- Be mechanically minded and able to use a variety of tools and equipment
- A ticket or RII for a Telehandler would be advantageous
- Skills and experience with basic poly welding desirable
- A current Australian driver’s licence (manual vehicle required)
- A positive attitude with ability to work independently
- Be able to work 95% of the time outdoors and in all weather conditions
- A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical with a good level of physical fitness and National Police Check
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
