Bodycare is looking for a Medical Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team delivering pre-employment health assessments at our South Melbourne Clinic. If you’re ready for a role where your clinical expertise directly shapes workforce safety and wellbeing, this could be the perfect fit.
About the Role
As our Doctor, you’ll conduct comprehensive pre-employment medical assessments to determine fitness for work based on inherent job requirements. Working alongside our Nurses and Physiotherapists, you’ll provide clinical oversight, interpret results, and make evidence-based determinations that protect both workers and employers.
You’ll also provide ad hoc clinical consulting on workplace health matters and incident reviews, supporting our governance and operational teams with expert advice.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Performing medical examinations and systems assessments
- Interpreting diagnostic and functional testing results
- Making clear fitness-for-work determinations with documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team on case reviews
- Providing referrals and clinical recommendations when needed
- Contributing to clinical quality and continuous improvement
- Offering expert advice on health standards, programs and policies
Your Skills & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration as Medical Practitioner
- Clinical experience in GP, occupational or musculoskeletal medicine
- Strong clinical judgement aligned to job requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to governance, privacy and quality service
- Professional indemnity insurance and ongoing CPD
- Occupational health experience (highly regarded)
- Authorised Health Professional for Rail Safety Workers or eligibility to obtain (desirable)
