Operations Assistant ManagerMagic Mountain Amusement Park – MerimbulaFull-Time | Outdoor Facilities & Visitor OperationsMagic Mountain is seeking a proactive, safety-focused Operations Assistant Manager to support the daily running of our park grounds, facilities and attractions. This year-round full time hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values safety, and takes pride in maintaining high operational standards.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of the park. A major focus of this role is ensuring security, compliance, and the ongoing maintenance of safety systems that protect our visitors, staff and assets.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Maintain accurate, compliant records for maintenance, inspections, service checks and incident reporting in line with SafeWork NSW / SafeWork Australia requirements• Ensure strict compliance with Workplace Health & Safety regulations and help promote a strong safety culture across all operations• Assist with daily inspections and general maintenance of rides, water facilities, buildings and equipment• Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day operational tasks• Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, brush cutting, gardening and general outdoor upkeep• Participate in the cleaning and presentation of park grounds, facilities and waste management areas• Conduct opening and closing checks to ensure the park is secure, operational and ready for visitors• Operate and complete routine checks on building surveillance and alarm systems, escalating issues promptly• Contribute to a positive and enthusiastic team focused on delivering excellent customer service• Communicate openly with the Operations Manager, reporting hazards, risks or operational issues quickly and clearly• Provide first aid if required and ensure all incidents are documented accurately• Perform additional duties as directed by ManagementABOUT YOU• Strong awareness of safety, compliance and operational standards• Confident in completing safety documentation and record keeping• Experience in facility operations, grounds maintenance or a similar hands-on role would be highly regarded• Capable of performing physical tasks and working outdoors in varying conditions• Excellent communication and teamwork skills• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain• Experience or knowledge in welding, carpentry and/or small engines• The ability to drive a manual vehicle• Knowledge or willingness to learn tractor operation• Be available to work weekends and public holidays as requiredWHY JOIN US?• Work within a supportive, dynamic and hands-on team at an iconic family fun location• Take on a varied and engaging role with real responsibility• Gain opportunities to develop your operational, supervisory and safety compliance skills• Benefits and development opportunities working for the Blyton Group
