The Role 

We are looking for a detail orientated and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. You will take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable function while also supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to keep our financial operations running smoothly.

We are proudly Tasmanian however we operate globally, this position has responsibilities across the Australian, New Zealand and USA operations.   

This position reports to the Accounting Lead and is based at our Moonah office.  

Your main responsibility will be the Accounts Payable function; however, the role includes a variety of tasks, which include but are not limited to: 

  • Processing and verifying supplier invoices accurately and on time
  • Reconciling purchase orders, delivery dockets and invoices
  • Managing the AP inbox and responding to vendor enquiries
  • Preparing and processing payment runs (EFT, cheque)
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Maintaining up-to-date vendor records
  • Assisting with month-end closing and accruals
  • Supporting internal and external audit requirements
  • Processing fortnightly payroll accurately
  • Maintaining employee records including leave and entitlements
  • Preparing and lodging STP (Single Touch Payroll) reports
  • Associated payroll-related tasks

About you 

You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively, experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, and sound knowledge of GST.
