We’re proud to be partnering with MLAHMC, the largest Aboriginal housing management organisation in NSW, to recruit a Tenancy Team Leader. This is a unique opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role driving tenancy operations that directly support stronger, healthier communities.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of operations – leading tenancy administration while tightly coordinating field-based teams to deliver compliant, high-quality housing services across a diverse portfolio.
You’ll be the critical link between systems, people, and on-the-ground delivery – ensuring inspections, tenancy processes, and tribunal matters are executed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate all internal tenancy operations and field-based activities to ensure key targets are consistently met
- Oversee and manage field staff scheduling, ensuring routine inspections, entry/exit reports, and community visits are completed within required timeframes
- Own the NCAT calendar end-to-end, including preparing high-quality evidence packs and representing MLAHMC at hearings
- Maintain the integrity of the Chintaro system, ensuring accurate and timely data across rent, water accounts, and tenancy records
- Monitor field activity and inspection data to ensure all actions are captured, tracked, and followed through
- Oversee rent collection, arrears management, and vacancy performance
- Act as an escalation point for complex tenancy matters and support resolution outcomes
- Lead, support, and mentor a small team, driving accountability and performance
- Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act (NSW) and relevant sector frameworks
About You
You’re a confident tenancy professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys balancing systems, people, and field coordination.
You bring:

- Proven experience managing NCAT matters, including representation
- Experience using Chintaro (or a similar tenancy management system)
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate teams and manage competing priorities
- Solid understanding of NSW tenancy legislation
- A hands-on, detail-oriented approach with strong organisational skills
- The ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with professionalism
Why This Role?
- Make a genuine impact in Aboriginal housing and communities
- Join a respected, purpose-led organisation with strong value
- Step into a true leadership role with autonomy and variety
- Play a key role in connecting tenancy operations with on-the-ground service delivery
