We deliver consulting, regulatory and pricing guidance, clinical research, and commercialisation support to improve health outcomes in Australia and globally.
The Biointelect Venturer Incubator is a new MRFF-funded preventative health initiative, launched in
2025, designed to support Australian SMEs and researchers to accelerate high-potential vaccine, immunotherapeutics and related innovations specifically for the prevention of infectious disease. Through provision of non-dilutive funding and structured support, as well as employing best-practice funding processes, we aim to strengthen Australia’s innovation ecosystem and improve health
outcomes locally and globally.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Partnerships & Stakeholder Manager to lead external engagement for Biointelect Venturer and ensure the incubator makes a meaningful contribution to the infectious disease
ecosystem and landscape.This role will play a key role in shaping the program’s external positioning, strengthening strategic partnerships to enable SME commercialisation and follow-on funding. You’ll sit at the centre of the ecosystem, connecting the incubator with partners, funders, investors, and
opportunities that drive long-term program sustainability.
You will lead engagement across government, NGOs, investors, industry, peak bodies both in
Australia and internationally, acting as a key external representative of the program.
Key Responsibilities
As a Partnerships & Stakeholder Manager, you will take the lead in developing, managing, and growing Biointelect Venturer’s external network, ensuring strong alignment between stakeholders, SMEs, and program outcomes. You’ll work closely with the program team, General Manger and
Governance Committees to develop and implement the external engagement strategy to strengthen Biointelect Venturer’s presence and credibility within the innovation ecosystem.
Key responsibilities are to:
- Develop and deliver a stakeholder engagement strategy aligned to program objectives and portfolio companies to create long-term value
- Build and manage relationships across government, non-governmental and philanthropic organisations, investors, industry and peak bodies Proactively identify and progress
partnership, co-investment, and funding opportunities to support SME growth and/or
program growth and sustainability
- Maintain a strong pipeline of partners and investors aligned to program priorities
- Facilitate high-value connections between SMEs and relevant partners, with a focus on
commercialisation and funding outcomes
- Represent the program externally across industry forums, events, and stakeholder engagements
- Lead stakeholder-facing activities (e.g. investor showcases, demo days) to drive
meaningful connections and outcomes
- Provide insights to support reporting, governance, and strategic decision-making
- Work closely with Program Managers to align partnership activity with program delivery
Required Skills and Knowledge
You are commercially minded and relationship-led, with the ability to engage confidently across a
wide-range of stakeholders including industry, government, non-governmental and philanthropic organisations and investment communities, and translate relationships into tangible outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field
- Background in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or business development
- Strong understanding of the biotech, medtech, or health innovation ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and convert relationships into strategic
partnerships, funding pathways, or commercial outcomes
- Ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders, and represent an organisation
externally
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Exposure to venture capital, investment, or commercialisation environments is highly regarded
- Familiarity with incubators, accelerators, or innovation programs will be advantageous
- An existing network across investors, industry, or research organisations is beneficial
