  • About the role
  • With continued expansion across the Central West and forecasted growth into 2026, there is a clear and increasing need to strengthen our ecological capacity in New South Wales. we are seeking two additional ecology staff members, with the Central West NSW identified as the preferred base location to best service current and anticipated projects.
  • What you’ll bring:
    • BAM Accreditation under the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme
    • Tertiary qualification in Ecology, Zoology, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in ecology or environmental science (2–3 years minimum desirable for junior-level applicants)
    • Demonstrated experience preparing, submitting, and managing BSARs, BCARs, BDARs, and specialist ecological assessment reports
    • Strong working knowledge of the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016
    • Solid understanding of environmental consulting practices and project management principles
    • Experience in bushfire consulting (highly regarded)
    • Certification in protected plant surveys (desirable)
    • Strong flora and fauna identification skills
  • What you’ll own:
    • As an Ecologist, you will conduct ecological field surveys for stewardship, development and offset sites. 
    • Be the knowledge expert in field ecology related activities, including coordinating and delivery multi-team field surveys.
