The Opportunity
Based at our Brendale site, the Warehouse/Dispatch Manager is responsible for leading all dispatch and outbound logistics activities to ensure customer orders are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
This role is hands-on and operational, overseeing the timely and accurate shipment of goods, managing staff, optimising routes, ensuring safety/compliance with WHS and Chain of Responsibility obligations. Coordinating with drivers, warehouse, transport, sales, and operations teams and other departments to maintain efficient supply chain operations, focusing on performance, documentation, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Lead and coordinate daily dispatch operations, including scheduling, load sequencing, and delivery readiness
• Ensure accurate picking, staging, and dispatch of customer orders in line with delivery commitments
• Coordinate closely with drivers, transport providers, and warehouse teams to resolve delivery issues
• Maintain dispatch documentation, run sheets, manifests, and system updates
• Monitor dispatch performance and address delays, errors, or capacity constraints proactively
• Enforce WHS, load restraint, mass management, and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Identify and implement improvements to dispatch efficiency, accuracy, and customer service
• Act as the primary escalation point for dispatch-related customer or internal issues
About You
You will bring:
• Proven experience in dispatch, logistics, or distribution operations, ideally in building materials or construction supply
• Strong understanding of dispatch planning, delivery coordination, and transport workflows
• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS and Chain of Responsibility compliance
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and service delivery
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Strong organisational and problem-solving capability in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift licence essential
• MR or HR licence highly advantageous (or willing to obtain)
• Experience using warehouse or logistics systems and standard operational reporting tools
