The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Casual Sales Consultant to join our Smeaton Grange branch. This role will suit someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, providing practical product advice and supporting sales outcomes in a fast-paced branch environment.

As a casual position, hours will be offered in line with branch requirements and may vary depending on business needs.

Your Role

As a Casual Sales Consultant, you will:

  • Provide high-quality customer service to trade, retail and commercial customers
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and over the counter
  • Prepare quotes, process sales orders and follow up with customers
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support Account Managers and the broader sales team with customer follow-up and order coordination
  • Maintain accurate customer, sales and order information in company systems
  • Assist with showroom presentation, product displays, brochures and sales material as required
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to support customer requirements and branch sales targets
  • Promote a safe working environment and comply with WHS requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, internal sales or a similar role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, customer-first approach
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow through on customer requests
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of timber, building products or construction materials would be advantageous
  • Understanding of WHS practices is valued
