The Opportunity

We are seeking two Business Development Managers – NSW Construction Division, both based at our Mt Druitt site, to drive growth across the New South Wales market, with a strong focus on Big River Cladding.

This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, growing existing construction accounts, and strengthening Big River Group’s presence across commercial and residential construction segments.

Reporting to the relevant Sales / Branch leadership, this field-based role requires strong commercial acumen, disciplined pipeline management, and the ability to build trusted relationships across builders, contractors, developers, fabricators, and key construction stakeholders. The role will be instrumental in expanding specification and sales opportunities for Big River Cladding.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across the NSW construction market
  • Grow and retain existing customer accounts through proactive relationship management
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned to divisional growth targets
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing and commercial solutions
  • Work closely with branch operations, logistics and customer service teams to ensure delivery outcomes are met
  • Maintain accurate CRM reporting, forecasts and activity tracking
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities
  • Uphold BRG’s safety, compliance and ethical standards in all customer interactions

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within construction, building materials, civil or related industries
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales targets and growing market share
  • Strong commercial and negotiation capability
  • Ability to operate autonomously while remaining aligned to branch and divisional objectives
  • Confidence engaging with customers at site, project and decision-maker level
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
  • A disciplined, outcomes-focused approach to pipeline and account management
