The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join our Timberwood Panels – Dandenong team. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of customers while driving sales across our decorative panel and timber veneer range.

Working closely with cabinetmakers, joiners and trade customers, you will provide practical, product-led solutions and build strong, long-term relationships across the Melbourne market. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure a high level of service delivery, with success measured through sales growth, customer retention and consistent performance against KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of cabinetmakers, joiners, manufacturers and trade customers
  • Build strong, long-term relationships through regular site and client visits
  • Provide product-led solutions across Timberwood Panels and decorative panel ranges
  • Prepare accurate quotes, tenders and sales proposals
  • Generate new business through structured call cycles and proactive territory planning
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
  • Stay aware of industry trends, competitor activity and local market conditions

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring commercial acumen, strong relationship capability and the confidence to operate independently across a broad geographic territory.

You will ideally have:

  • Sales or account management experience in timber, panels, cabinetry, joinery or related trade environments OR;
  • A background as a cabinetmaker or joiner looking to transition into a commercial/account management role
  • Confidence discussing decorative panels, substrates, finishes and cabinetry applications
  • Strong communication, negotiation and customer engagement skills
  • Experience managing customer portfolios, quotes and follow-up routines
  • High levels of organisation, time management and problem-solving
  • A proactive, resilient mindset with a solutions-focused approach
  • Understanding of WHS requirements within trade or manufacturing environments
  • A valid driver’s licence and professional presentation

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales or Marketing are advantageous but not essential.
