The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and outgoing individuals who enjoy interacting with people from around the world.

In this role, you will engage with visitors, recommend experiences, and convert those interactions into bookings through the Experience Oz platform.

You will be part of a high-energy sales environment where strong product knowledge, confidence in engaging customers, and a positive attitude will help you succeed.

This is a casual role, with shifts scheduled based on operational needs, visitor demand, and peak tourism periods.

Core Activities

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Engage visitors within the Melbourne Visitor Hub and Experience Oz sales booths.
  • Recommend and sell experiences, tours, and activities using the Experience Oz booking platform.
  • Confidently approach and interact with visitors to drive bookings and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Deliver a friendly, helpful, and engaging customer experience.

Product Knowledge

  • Develop strong knowledge of experiences, tours, and attractions across Melbourne and Australia.
  • Stay informed about new products, promotions, and seasonal offers.
  • Provide accurate and relevant recommendations to visitors.

Sales Performance

  • Work towards individual and team sales targets.
  • Contribute to daily and weekly sales goals.
  • Support sales campaigns, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.

Operational Support

  • Process bookings accurately through the Experience Oz platform.
  • Maintain a clean and professional booth presentation.
  • Follow operational procedures and sales processes.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with other sales consultants and the Melbourne Visitor Hub Manager.
  • Support a positive and energetic team culture.
  • Participate in training and product briefings.

Experience Required

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • An outgoing and confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people from different backgrounds.
  • Motivated by sales and enjoy helping visitors discover memorable experiences during their trip.
  • Comfortable working in a sales-focused environment.
  • Interested in tourism, travel, and experiences.
  • Reliable and flexible with availability, including weekends and peak tourism periods.
  • A team player with a positive attitude

Previous experience in retail, tourism, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is highly regarded but not essential.
