Description

As a Product Growth Associate, you’ll help grow Betashares Direct by improving how customers discover, understand and adopt investments and features within the platform. You’ll work across our expanding range of direct-client products to increase activation, product adoption, retention and cross-product engagement through better user journeys and in-product experiences, while helping turn ambiguous growth opportunities into practical product improvements.

You’ll work within the Betashares Direct product team, using product levers and building user-facing experiences to drive growth (e.g., onboarding improvements, investment discovery surfaces, in-app education, prompts and nudges, and end-to-end journey improvements). You’ll use analytics and experimentation (including cohort-based personalisation and A/B testing) to improve key funnels such as onboarding, first deposit, first investment, repeat investing and expansion into additional products, while helping identify and prioritise product opportunities that improve customer outcomes and platform performance. You’ll also help improve the way growth work gets done by spotting friction in workflows, reporting and launch processes, and using tools, including AI-enabled ones where appropriate, to work more effectively.

This is a junior role designed for someone curious about digital products, customer behaviour and investing. You’ll learn how to think holistically about growth within the platform (discovery, education, conversion and retention) while being aware of key customer journey touchpoints and launch moments across new and existing offerings. It suits someone with a builder mindset who enjoys learning quickly, working through ambiguity and applying good judgement in a regulated environment, with scope to help shape and test new ideas where they show particular passion and initiative.

Role Responsibilities

In-Platform Discovery & Adoption

  • Help customers discover relevant investment options, features and account/product types within the platform (e.g., discovery surfaces, education modules, guided flows)
  • Build and improve in-product education, prompts and nudges that support confident decision-making and increase adoption across our expanding range
  • Partner with marketing and content to keep education and messaging clear, timely and consistent, including cohort-based personalisation where appropriate

Customer Journeys & Activation

  • Support onboarding and activation journeys that help new account holders reach key milestones (e.g., first deposit, first trade)
  • Support key customer journey touchpoints across the platform and owned channels that encourage regular investing, investor education, retention and cross-product engagement
  • Help identify friction points and optimisation opportunities across onboarding, activation and ongoing product usage

Growth Campaigns, Launches & Cross-Product Adoption

  • Coordinate in-product launch moments (e.g., announcements, guided tours, education) and support rollout readiness across the product experience
  • Support adoption of new account types and products by improving cross-product discovery and journeys within the platform
  • Ensure user-facing experiences are accurate, compliant, intuitive and well aligned to the broader product strategy

Experimentation, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Pull and interpret growth and engagement reporting (e.g., activation, conversion, retention, discovery-to-action rates) and share insights with the team
  • Support A/B tests and experiments (hypotheses, set-up, QA, measurement, documentation and results write-ups)
  • Help maintain a backlog of in-product growth opportunities (including cohorting/segmentation and personalisation) informed by customer feedback, support themes and product data; support basic tracking/instrumentation improvements where needed

Key skills and experience

  • A generalist interest in product-led growth: how in-product discovery, journeys and education can drive acquisition, activation, retention and expansion
  • Confidence working with product/growth tools (e.g., analytics, experimentation, CMS/journey builders, spreadsheets) and coordinating delivery across teams
  • Strong product thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer needs and data into clear optimisation opportunities
  • Comfort working with data, cohorts and experimentation at a basic level (e.g., pulling reports, defining success metrics, learning from results)
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset; experience in a fast-paced/technology environment is a plus, but not required
