The Opportunity

We are seeking an Intermediate Auditor to join our Audit team, reporting to the Senior Manager – Audit. This role offers the opportunity to build on your technical foundations while gaining exposure to a broad range of clients and industries.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality audit engagements, working closely with senior team members and partners. This is an ideal next step for someone looking to deepen their audit experience, progress their CA/CPA studies, and develop strong client-facing skills.

This is a full-time role based in our Hawthorn office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of audit engagements, including managing smaller audit jobs independently
  • Prepare audit files, including planning, scoping, and workpapers
  • Apply audit methodologies to plan, execute, and complete engagements
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation as evidence of work performed
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with regulatory and reporting standards
  • Preparation of special purpose financial reports and management letters
  • Work across a diverse client base (NFPs, real estate, legal firms, public and private companies)
  • Liaise with clients and travel to client sites where required
  • Assist with administrative tasks and general duties to support timely completion of engagements & audit projects.
  • Participate in training and ongoing professional development

To Be Successful

You are a motivated and detail-oriented auditor with a solid grounding in accounting principles and a desire to grow your career in a professional services environment.

Candidates must have existing Australian work authorisation as visa sponsorship will not be provided.

We are looking for someone who:

  • A relevant degree with an accounting major
  • Commenced or planning to commence CA/CPA studies
  • Experience in audit or accounting (public practice preferred)
  • Understanding of accounting and auditing standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software (e.g. CaseWare or similar)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
