As our Assembly Station Lead, you’ll work on the assembly line, take responsibility for your station, and make sure components are built to the highest standards. If you enjoy practical work, problem solving, and being part of a supportive team, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

About the role

You’ll lead assembly tasks at your station, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. Expect variety, practical work, and strong support from your team.

You can expect to:

  • Lead and coordinate assembly tasks at allocated stations
  • Allocate work and manage workflow to meet schedule and quality standards
  • Ensure accurate assembly in line with drawings, plans and specifications
  • Resolve assembly issues quickly to keep production on track
  • Liaise professionally with site staff, contractors, suppliers and clients
  • Provide updates and information for the Daily Site Diary
  • Complete required records, documentation, and reports
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and correctly
  • Identify and report safety, environmental, and quality issues immediately
  • Report accidents, incidents, and near misses in line with procedures
  • Support apprentices and new starters to work safely and follow processes

What you’ll bring

Essential:

  • Qualified tradesperson (Certificate IIII in Plumbing) with relevant experience in mechanical plumbing or a related field
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards in all aspects of work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team
  • Permanent working rights in Australia

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Process Manufacturing or Engineering (Fabrication)
  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments
