Benara Nurseries are seeking reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our team at our head office in Carabooda, north of the river. If you take pride in high standards of cleaning and hygiene practices, and want to be part of a long-standing, values-driven horticultural business, we’d love to hear from you. 

This position requires someone who can commit to working four days a week from 6.00am to 2.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week.

ABOUT US 

Benara Nurseries is one of Australia’s largest wholesale production nurseries, located on a 147-hectare site in Western Australia. Established in 1963, we are a family-owned and managed company, now with four generations actively involved in the nursery. Combined, the owners have over 300 years of experience in producing plants for the horticultural industry.  

We supply premium-quality plants to landscapers, retailers, developers, and local government. Our success is built on strong values, dedicated people, and our commitment to excellence in plant production.  

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain cleanliness across our nursery facilities. This role is essential in supporting daily operations and ensuring a safe and hygienic workplace. 

Key Responsibilities 

Duties may include (but are not limited to):  

  • Ensuring our administration building and rest areas across the nursery remain clean and hygienic. 
  • Daily responsibilities will include, cleaning staff amenities (toilets, break areas and offices), sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins and managing waste disposal.  
  • Following workplace health and safety standards at all times. 
  • Drive a utility vehicle across our site.  
  • Have access to a vehicle as there is no public transport to our site, you will be required to travel 4 days a week to Perth’s Northern Suburbs (Carabooda). 

 

ABOUT YOU 

You are dependable, reliable, and take pride in your work. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication and positive collaboration with the wider team. 

Key Requirements 

Skills and Experience: 

Essential: 

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. 
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.  
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to a time schedule. 
  • Basic understanding of workplace health and safety. 
  • Must hold a current and valid WA Drivers Licence 

 

Desirable: 

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.  
  • Maintains up-to-date recommended vaccinations appropriate for domestic cleaning work to support a safe and hygienic environment.
