The Opportunity

We’re looking for a friendly, welcoming receptionist to be the face of our allied health clinic in Kedron. If you enjoy helping people and creating a warm space for families, this role will suit you perfectly.

You’ll be the main admin support onsite at our Kedron clinic, with training, daily contact and ongoing backup from our NSW team.

The Role

This exciting position is open to experienced part-time applicants. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, friendly and down-to-earth, brings good energy to the clinic, gets along well with others, and is positive, approachable and easy to communicate with.

Experience in allied health is helpful but not essential if you’re quick to learn and have the right attitude.

The successful applicant will work closely with the broader Beam Health team and will be responsible for:

  • Providing highly effective, responsive and confidential support to the clinical team.
  • Reception duties including answering and directing incoming calls.
  • Taking payments and processing invoices
  • Ensuring clients and stakeholders feel comfortable, supported and confident when interacting with Beam Health (in-clinic or otherwise)
  • Greeting clients and families who come from a range of diverse ages, presentations and backgrounds
  • Keeping our clinic looking beautiful and organised at all times
  • Scheduling and rescheduling appointments
  • Preparing and collecting key client paperwork
  • Medicare management and fee payment using our client management system
  • Liaising with GPs, allied health and other professionals
  • Electronic file management, scanning and record keeping
  • Handling incoming and outgoing emails
  • Occasional travel to other clinic locations for training days

The Requirements

To apply for the role, we would like you to have:

  • Previous experience in medical, allied health, or similar practice
  • Experience working with Medicare rebates and an understanding of NDIS funding
  • Capacity to communicate effectively with people who may be distressed
  • High level of discretion and sensitivity
  • Well-presented professional with an approachable disposition
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrated intermediate experience in the proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence
