About the role:

The Project Coordinator will support the planning and execution of the Staying at Home Project Retreats to comply with the Project objectives and satisfy the consumers and carers’ requirements. This includes assisting with scheduling, resource coordination, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that all activities align with the intended outcomes of the project.

Additionally, the Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in the organisation and execution of the Staying at Home Retreats and the Project in general.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

Support the Project Manager in the planning, organisation and execution of the Staying at Home Project and Retreats:

  • Communicate with enquirers, clients, Staying at Home staff and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate different activities related to the Retreats.
  • Maintain client and program data systems to a high standard, including booking systems.
  • Support education and engagement teams during Retreats through fulfilling any roles as required, including delivering carer education sessions as needed.
  • Coordinate the day-to -day during the Retreats to ensure a high standard of service and satisfaction.
  • Attend and participate in education and training as required, including Butterfly model of care, Mental Health First Aid and any others required from time to time.
  • Complete administrative tasks to support the program as required, including document management and quality assessments.

About you:

Essential qualifications and experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or related
  • Demonstrated equivalent experience in community services.
  • Experience in administrative roles.

Desirable qualifications and experience

  • Certificate IV in Individual Support or related.
  • Experience and knowledge of community programs supporting older people to remain at home.
  • Experience in working with people living with dementia.
  • Experience in delivering group education sessions.
  • Experience coordinating and assisting in Projects.

Core competencies

  • High level of organisational and administrative skills.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills, involving ability to conduct education sessions for small groups.
  • Empathy and understanding of older people and their family members/carers.
  • High level interpersonal skills and assertive communication.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Awareness of community supports and resources.

Conditions

Must provide a NDIS worker screening clearance that is dated not more than five years old to enable the assessment of whether the employee is suitable to provide care under the Aged Care Act. This clearance must remain updated by the employee during the contract period. Must comply with Barunga Village’s immunisation policies and procedures at all times.

​​​​​ Willingness to travel and stay overnight at Retreat location when required

Must sign a statutory declaration to identify that have never committed any serious criminal activity outside of Australia. Must not be included on the aged care banning order register. Must comply with Barunga Village’s Code of Conduct. Suitable to work in flexible work arrangements.
