Customer Service Manager

Barenbrug, one of Australia’s leading seed businesses and a member of the Royal Barenbrug Group, specialises in research and development, marketing, extension, and distribution of proprietary pasture and forage seeds, cropping, turf and seed enhancement technology.

Reporting to the Marketing Services Manager, this role will lead a small high-performing Customer Service team responsible for delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. You will drive value through strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving, technical support and an efficient, customer-focused service delivery approach.

This is a highly cross-functional role, spanning sales, logistics, distribution, purchasing, manufacturing and inventory management. Success in this position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong problem-solving capability and a proactive mindset.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Leading and managing the Customer Service team across the domestic business to achieve budget and performance objectives;
• Overseeing customer order processing, invoicing, quotations, product enquiries, account enquiries and credit returns;
• Collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure pricing and quotations are accurate and up to date;
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance service delivery for both customers and internal stakeholders.

About you:

• Experience in, or an aspiration to lead teams;
• High level attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes;
• Experience with Pronto (or similar ERP systems) is advantageous;
• Background in the agriculture industry will be highly regarded.
