Guest Services Agent | Kangaroo Island, SA
About the Role
Southern Ocean Lodge is seeking a Guest Services Agent to join our team and help deliver the warm, personalised experience our guests have come to expect from one of Australia’s most celebrated luxury lodges.
In this role, you will be a central point of contact for guests throughout their stay, handling everything from arrivals and departures to activity bookings, concierge requests and day-to-day guest needs. You will work closely with all lodge departments to ensure every interaction is seamless, thoughtful and reflective of the Southern Ocean Lodge standard.
This is a residential role based on Kangaroo Island, with accommodation and meals provided at a reduced rate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and farewelling guests with warmth and professionalism
- Managing reservations, itineraries and activity bookings
- Responding to guest requests and resolving any concerns promptly
- Coordinating with housekeeping, food and beverage, and experience teams
- Maintaining accurate guest profiles and preferences
- Supporting lodge operations across check-in, check-out and daily scheduling
- Communicating local knowledge and lodge offerings to enhance the guest experience
About You
You are a passionate hospitality professional who genuinely loves connecting with people and creating memorable moments.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a guest services, front office or concierge role, ideally in a luxury or boutique property
- A warm, polished communication style and natural ability to anticipate guest needs
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Confidence using property management or reservations systems
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Comfort living and working in a remote, island environment
- Current Australian working rights
