The Waitangi Treaty Grounds is seeking a proactive and organised Events Coordinator to support the Event Manager with the planning, setup, and delivery of events and functions across our site. This hands-on role supports the Event Manager in delivering exceptional events and ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless, high-quality experience.
What you’ll be doing | Te whakamahere
- Assist with planning, setup, pack down, and smooth delivery of events.
- Prepare venues with equipment, furniture, décor, and supplies.
- Provide on-the-day operational support and oversee small events.
- Act as Duty Manager ensuring Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 compliance.
- Support event administration: run sheets, documentation, reporting, and CustomLinc updates.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised venues and storage areas.
- Monitor health, safety, and guest wellbeing; actively participate as an HSR.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- LCQ qualification
- Full driver’s licence
- Duty Manager Certification (or willingess to obtain ASAP)
