Summary:

The HR Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources functions within our medical organisation in Springfield, Queensland. This position is essential for fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and enhancing employee engagement. The HR Officer will collaborate with various departments to implement HR strategies that align with our organisational goals and support our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and reference checking.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices.
  • Support employee onboarding and training initiatives to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist in the development and execution of employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in employment law to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within the medical or nursing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
