Australian Truck & 4WD Rentals (Hertz Trucks) is a franchise operation of Hertz Australia. We have 22 locations in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team at our Head Office in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

This role is for a 12 month period.

Under the guidance of the IT Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Monitor and maintain on-premises infrastructure and hybrid/cloud systems.

• Monitor and maintain Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online)

• Manage identity & access systems (Active Directory, Entra).

• Maintain endpoint management platforms (Intune, Group Policy).

• Support and maintain secure network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalling, VPN, wireless).

• Monitor for security threats and assist in incident response.

• Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Maintain VOIP telecommunications & call centre system.

• Provide IT support to end users as required, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues.

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role.

• Experience with:

o Microsoft 365 & Entra

o Windows Server and Active Directory

o Endpoint Management (Intune & Group Policy)

o Virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)

o Backup & disaster recovery solutions

• Working knowledge of networking concepts (Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices

• Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
