Description

Australian Golf is growing – and so are we.

At Golf Australia, our purpose is simple: more Australians playing more golf.

We believe that all golf is golf, and all of us can be golfers.  Whether you’re swinging a club at a driving range, playing nine holes with friends, putting at mini golf with family, or dreaming of the Australian Open. We’re here to make sure golf is fun, welcoming, and accessible for all; and that starts with how we show up as a team.

We’re proud to be part of Australian Golf’s transformation, a time of unprecedented growth, innovation, and opportunity. As our game evolves, so too does our workplace. Through it all, our values shape how we show up, collaborate, and lead:

  • We Welcome Everyone – Inclusion is at the heart of who we are. We’re creating a workplace where people from all backgrounds feel they truly belong.
  • We Are Connected – We work as one team, supporting each other across clubs, communities, and partners to grow the game, and each other.
  • We Are Courageous – We’re not afraid to do things differently. We challenge the status quo, embrace change, and reimagine what’s possible.
  • We Bring Our Best – Whether we’re delivering a major championship or helping a local club thrive, we bring care, pride, and purpose to everything we do.

Wework alongside key industry partners like the PGA of Australia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia to support player pathways, from local clubs through to elite competition. We champion places to play, events at every level, and a high-performance program that helps emerging talent thrive.

At every step, we’re driven by the belief that golf is a sport for life and there’s a place in it for everyone

ABOUT THE ROLE – Adelaide | Full-time | Fixed Term 6 Months

We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive Clubs & Facilities Lead to join our team and help support clubs, districts and facilities across South Australia.

Working closely with the State Manager and Head of Clubs & Facilities – South Australia, this role plays an important part in the delivery of Golf Australia’s strategy within the state. You’ll help ensure clubs and stakeholders are supported, governance processes run smoothly and the South Australian office operates effectively.

This is a varied role that combines governance coordination, stakeholder engagement, operational leadership and event delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and contributing to the growth of community sport.

Your impact will include:

Coordinating Golf SA governance activities, including supporting Board meetings, District meetings and the Golf SA Annual General Meeting.

Acting as a key operational contact for South Australian clubs, districts and facilities, building strong relationships across the golf community.

Supporting the delivery of important industry initiatives such as the Strategic Alignment / Model Venue Framework, Club Governance Project and the R&A Women & Girls Charter.

Leading communication with clubs and stakeholders to ensure information is shared clearly and consistently across the state.

Coordinating stakeholder meetings, forums and engagement events across South Australia.

Supporting the smooth operation of the South Australian office, including facilities coordination, logistics and internal administration.

 You’ll bring:

  • Experience in sport administration, governance coordination, stakeholder engagement or a related field.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to stay organised and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to collaborate with others.
  • A genuine interest in sport and community engagement (golf experience is helpful but not essential).

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

At Golf Australia, we know people do their best work when they feel supported – in work and in life. Here are just a few of the ways we bring that to life:

  • Flexible Working – We offer hybrid work and flexible hours, we’ll work with you to find the balance that fits.
  • Family-Friendly – With generous paid parental leave for all carers, we understand family always comes first.
  • Wellbeing Focused – Our partnership with Acacia supports your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing; plus in some of our offices you can access elite gym facilities.
  • Opportunities to Grow – From formal and on-the-job learning, we’re all about growing together.
  • Extra Perks – Enjoy free onsite parking, access to exclusive golf events, and partner discounts – all part of helping you bring your best, every day.

Still reading? We hope so. Golf, like many sports, hasn’t always felt like a space where everyone sees themselves, and we know that women and other underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. But at Golf Australia, we’re committed to changing that.

At Golf Australia, our belief is simple: “All golf is golf, and all of us can be golfers.” That philosophy extends to our team too. We’re building an organisation where diverse voices, backgrounds and perspectives are truly welcomed and where people can bring their whole selves to the work we do.

That commitment to inclusion also means creating safe, respectful and supportive spaces. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment for all employees and participants –  including children and young people –  and we expect everyone involved in delivering golf in Australia to understand their responsibilities when it comes to child safety.

So, if this role excites you, and you feel you could contribute even if you don’t tick every box, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s have a conversation. You might be just what we’re looking for.
