About Us
We’re an established automotive repair group operating across multiple entities, with a small, hands‑on finance team that values accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement. We’re looking for a Senior Accounts Officer who can take ownership of Accounts Payable while also assisting with Accounts Receivable and supporting the broader finance function.
The Role
This is a key role that combines full‑function AP with AR support and month‑end assistance. You’ll manage day‑to‑day AP processing, ensure coding accuracy across our entities, assist with AR allocations, help maintain intercompany accounts and support a clean and timely month‑end close.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of Accounts Payable across multiple entities
- Review AP/AR entries for accuracy and correct coding issues
- Assist with Accounts Receivable allocations, invoicing checks and customer queries
- Manage the company card process, including transaction review, coding accuracy and follow‑ups for missing documentation
- Assist with maintaining and reconciling intercompany accounts
- Support with month‑end journals (accruals, prepayments, WIP, etc.)
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the Finance Manager during month‑end close
- Identify process gaps and help implement improvements
- Provide guidance to junior accounts staff on correct coding and procedures
About You
- Experienced in end‑to‑end AP, with exposure to AR
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Detail‑oriented with a high standard of accuracy
- Confident reviewing others’ work and correcting errors
- Comfortable working across multiple entities
- Proactive, organised and able to manage competing priorities
