The Opportunity
Aurizn is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to provide technical expertise across the design, development, integration, verification, and sustainment of aerospace systems supporting Defence capabilities and programs. The successful candidate will support the delivery of two key aerospace sustainment programs at Aurizn.

Responsibilities will vary, but will include the following duties:
- Provide independent technical judgment and subject expertise to support complex system related tasks.
- Develop, refine, and use modelling and simulation tools.
- Provide software engineering and modelling support across the software development lifecycle.
- Tests, evaluates and assesses aircraft or spacecraft systems, prototypes and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Analyses data and/or inspect products/systems, to provide possible solutions to solve technical issues.
- Partners with diverse stakeholders including Customers, Project team members, Suppliers and Partners supporting the delivery of projects.
- Researches and identifies new technologies, materials and methodologies that support continuous improvement in aerospace products and systems.
What we are seeking:
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance (NV1 or above).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience applying simulation, modelling, and analysis in complex or safety-critical environments or domains
- Strong working knowledge of aerospace engineering fundamentals, systems engineering principles, and defence, regulatory, security and sustainment frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in software programming language, such as MATLAB, Simulink, C++ or Python.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build lasting realtionships.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
Due to a requirement for Defence Clearance to undertake the duties of the role, Australian Citizenship is required.
