The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training, and professional development programs. About the role

Fixed term (up to 2 years) | Part-time (0.6FTE, days negotiable) | Melbourne CBD

RANZCP is establishing a time‑limited pathway for current New Zealand Affiliate members seeking access to Fellowship, as approved by the Board. This pathway is expected to operate for approximately three years to address existing demand from eligible Affiliate members.

This role has been created to support the initial implementation and peak delivery period of the pathway. You’ll provide dedicated administrative coordination to ensure the pathway is delivered in a consistent, timely and well‑governed way.

Key Responsibilities 

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate applications received for the NZ Affiliates Pathway
  • Liaise with assessors to schedule case‑based discussions (CbDs) with Affiliate members
  • Coordinate and administer committee and management group meetings, including agendas, action lists and minutes
  • Respond to Affiliate queries regarding the NZ Affiliates Pathway
  • Manage applications and applicant tracking data, maintaining accurate records to support governance, reporting and audit requirements
  • Prepare documentation arising from meetings, including letters, briefing papers and reports
  • Prepare reports as required for internal College governing bodies

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Advanced computer skills and confidence working with data and systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

  • Experience working in, or an understanding of, the Australian and/or New Zealand health systems

You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold valid work rights.

  • $60,000 to $72,000 + superannuation (pro-rata)
