We’re looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant – Environmental Planner or Environmental Approvals Professional to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of renewable energy projects across Australia.

This is a position within our Environmental Assessment, Planning and Approvals Team. You’ll have the opportunity to work across the full spectrum of project development and project approvals, regardless of your level, and contribute meaningfully to projects that deliver real community benefits.

At Attexo, we’re proud to support some of the country’s most transformative renewable energy developments – including wind farms, solar farms, grid‑scale batteries, and hydrogen opportunities. We also work on a variety of infrastructure and resources projects. Our team is uniquely positioned to deliver project outcomes while providing exciting, long‑term career pathways for our people.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of renewable energy projects, with the support of senior team members.
  • Provide approvals advice to clients on the application of QLD and Commonwealth environmental and planning legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepare concise and clear advice and recommendations on statutory and environmental planning matters to facilitate client projects.
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Build internal and external relationships and assist senior team members in responding to new and existing project opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, environmental science, or environmental management or similar.
  • 3-10 years’ experience in a planning approvals related role and interest in the environmental space.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in technical report writing and presentation delivery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a proactive and self-motivated work approach.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland and Commonwealth environmental assessment and approvals frameworks applicable to the development of energy, infrastructure and resources projects.
  • Australian work rights are mandatory for the role.
