We’re seeking a Brisbane based Senior Claims Consultant to join our growing team! Our Senior Claims Consultants manage the end-to-end claims lifecycle for Hire and Large Fleet Commercial Customers, as well as our Heavy Motor clients.
As a Senior Claims Consultant you will:
- Manage a portfolio or unique motor vehicle claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Undertake end to end claims management – from lodgement, determinations, working with suppliers, ongoing customer/broker engagement, through to finalisation.
- Determine claims liability and be able to communicate outcomes effectively with customers and other parties.
- Negotiate settlements with customers, intermediaries and third-parties.
- Dealing with escalated/complex claims matters that are referred to you by team members within delegated authority.
- Identify gaps in process, systems, guidelines within the organisation and recommend potential solutions to ensure we can operate in a compliant, efficient way.
- Be an escalation point for other team members within delegated authority limits
- provide formal and informal training, coaching and guidance for team members.
- Triage and address compliances and incidents.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings with clients, insurers and service suppliers.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- High level of knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act and its implications for the provision of client services.
- A track record working in general insurance with motor claims experience, including managing supplier relationships.
- Good interpersonal communication skills with the ability to foster cooperative and professional working relationships with managers, peers, team members and business partners.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- General Insurance Code of Practice certification
