The ATC Williams Graduate Pathway
1. Graduate Momentum Program — Build Your Foundation
Join us full-time from November and hit the ground running. In your first year, you’ll develop both the technical depth and consulting skills to become a confident, capable engineer.
As a graduate, you will:
- Deliver real project work with real deliverables from technical analysis and modelling through to reporting and client-facing outputs.
- Attend site visits and gain hands-on field experience across either tailings, waste or water projects.
- Work directly alongside senior engineers and principals who are invested in your development.
- Participate in structured mentoring, regular check-ins, and formal performance and salary reviews.
- Access ATC University training including technical workshops, responsible tailings management, drilling and fieldwork programs.
2. Accelerate — Own Your Technical Direction
You take more ownership of your development — choosing where to go deeper, building client relationships, and stepping into more complex scopes of work.
- Lead defined scopes within larger projects and take ownership of deliverables.
- Begin building your professional network through Engineers Australia events and industry engagement.
- Receive active support toward CPEng registration, with guidance from senior staff who’ve been through the process.
- Explore discipline specialisation across our tailings, water or waste practice areas.
3. Beyond The Program — A Career, Not Just A Job
Our Graduate Pathway is designed to set you up for a long career at ATC Williams — not just tick a box and move on. Graduates who demonstrate capability and initiative progress quickly into senior technical roles, project leadership and beyond.
- Clear promotion structure with transparent criteria and regular career conversations.
- Ongoing access to ATC University, industry conferences and professional development funding.
- A genuine career and development pathway for those who want it.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking graduates who are curious, driven and ready to do meaningful engineering work. You might be a recent graduate or completing your degree in 2025 — either way, we want to hear from you.
You will have:
- A completed (or near-completed) degree in engineering.
- A genuine interest in tailings, water and/or waste engineering — or an open mind to discover it.
- Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn from the people around you.
- Full working rights in Australia.
