Assett Group Services is a leader in the provision of maintenance services, specialising in the social housing sector. Seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our community housing team.
Reporting to our Group CEO and working closely with other leadership roles within the business, this is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring that our multiple community housing contracts are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and are compliant within relevant regulations.
This role will require extensive knowledge and experience in contract management. Some of the key duties will include:

Contract Management: Manage all aspects of client contracts, from initiation to closure

Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, and act as the primary point of contact

Subcontractor Management: Select, negotiate with, and manage subcontractors, including performance

Financial Management: Monitor contract terms, financial obligations, and budget adherence

Compliance and Legal: Ensuring Assett is compliant with its contractual obligations and industry regulations

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Our perfect candidate should thrive in a fast-paced setting, and it would be desirable to have previous experience in a comparable position within a facilities management, construction, or residential maintenance and repair industry.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple contracts concurrently – minimum 5 years
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen
- High level negotiation skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Results oriented individual with a strong work and service ethic
- Problem solving skills with high level attention to detail
- Collaborative team player
- High level engagement skills, and able to build relationships
- Intermediate skills in M365.
Qualifications
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in contract management
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current NSW White Card
