Internal Opportunity: House Leader – Child Safety Residential Care

6-month fixed term parental leave cover, with the possibility of extension.

Aspire Hub is offering an internal opportunity for an experienced team member ready to step into a leadership role within a Residential Care home.

This role is suited to individuals who consistently demonstrate strong practice, reliability, and the ability to positively influence both young people and team culture.

About the role

The House Leader plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic home environment for young people with complex needs. This is a hands-on leadership position, working on shift while supporting the day-to-day operations of the home and guiding Youth Workers to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting Youth Workers on shift

• Role modelling best practice in trauma-informed care

• Maintaining structure, routines, and a therapeutic environment

• Managing house administration, documentation, and reporting

• Supporting compliance with Child Safety standards and organisational policies

• Liaising with internal teams, Child Safety, and external stakeholders

• Assisting with care planning and appointments

You are a dependable and experienced team member who is ready to take the next step.

You consistently demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.

To be considered, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience working in Aspire Hub residential care

• Strong understanding of Child Safety requirements and frameworks

• Proven ability to support peers and contribute to a positive team culture

• Confidence managing challenging behaviours and escalations • Strong communication and documentation skills

• A proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused approach
