APF Cold Storage & Logistics is a rapidly growing family-owned business and is looking for self-motivated and energetic individuals to form part of our team. We are considering candidates for the role of dedicated MR/HR drivers. While the main focus of this position is driving larger vehicles, there may be some occurrences of operating Class C vehicles as well as forklifts, contingent on business needs. This flexibility ensures that we can meet our obligations even in exceptional circumstances.
This fast-paced work is for various clients located across our Regency Park Distribution Centre and may involve a degree of manual handling, so a level of fitness is a plus.
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for multiple MR/HR driver positions, available 5 days a week from Monday to Friday. We offer flexibility to accommodate the right candidates, potentially dividing these roles among several individuals.
We are considering casual roles from $35 to $37 per hour. Additionally, for those currently holding an MR class licence, we are open to financing the upgrade to an HR class licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of MR Truck(s) as required, there may be occasional requirements to operate Class C vehicles.
- Ensures goods and products are secured inside the truck to minimise damage during transit.
- Read and efficiently work from the manifest to deliver products to customers using a truck, forklift, and/or pallet jack.
- Follow correct procedures to document customer receipt of product and omission or error.
- Issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Following the completion of the delivery route, adhere to check-in procedures, ensuring the accuracy of inspections for any returned products, pallets, or containers.
- Cleaning (sweeping, discarding rubbish, washing) the assigned delivery vehicle.
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and complete pre-trip/post-trip report; distribute as directed.
- Ensure compliance and safety are adhered to at all times.
- Carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instructions.
Experience Requirements (Note that for the right person, we would provide all training)
- MR Drivers’ Licence (required)
- HR Drivers’ Licence (desirable)
- Reach Truck / LF Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Quality assurance
- Computer literacy
To be successful in this role you will have the following demonstrated abilities:
- Hold a current MR Drivers’ Licence and have reliable transport
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to undertake manual handling and other duties on ground level when needed
- Willingness to undertake multi-drop deliveries across Metro Adelaide
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
