The Opportunity:

As the network continues to evolve and enhance its club environments, we are seeking a Franchise Development Manager to drive the successful delivery of club refresh projects across the network. This role exists to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to brand standards while strengthening franchisee relationships, improving compliance, and supporting overall network performance.

The Role:

The Franchise Development Manager oversees the end-to-end delivery of club refresh projects, ensuring all works are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to operational and brand requirements. You will be responsible for coordinating stakeholders, managing project governance, and supporting franchisees through design, compliance, and execution phases while driving continuous improvement across delivery processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of club refresh projects across the portfolio
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to brand and compliance standards
  • Coordinate design submissions, reviews, and approvals with franchisees and architects
  • Conduct site visits and manage post-refresh audits and compliance checks
  • Maintain accurate reporting, schedules, and documentation across all projects
  • Identify risks, delays, and delivery issues, implementing proactive mitigation strategies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation for development projects
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement and vendor engagement
  • Resolve franchisee, supplier, and internal stakeholder delivery issues
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness

Experience and About You:

You are a detail-oriented project and/or multi-site operations professional who thrives in fast-paced, stakeholder-rich environments. You bring structure to complex delivery landscapes, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, and are comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects. You are commercially aware, solutions-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.

 

Technical Ability

  • Relevant qualifications in project management, business, or a related field (builder or trades background highly regarded) 
  • Experience in project or multi-site management within fitness, retail, construction, or similar industries 
  • Strong capability across project lifecycle delivery, including planning, coordination, and execution 
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects 
  • Experience working with project management tools and reporting systems 
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities

Essential Requirements:

  • Current driver’s license and willingness to undertake regular interstate and regional travel
