About the Role:
Our specialists are backed by a team of Hospital Vets who play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of patient care. As a Hospital Vet, you will:
- Provide anaesthesia support across the hospital (alongside our specialists).
- Develop pain management and post-surgical recovery plans.
- Monitor sick and critical medicine patients, including those with cardiorespiratory, endocrine and neurological conditions.
- Care for hospitalised surgical, medical and dentistry patients.
- Communicate with clients and referring vets and assist with patient and client inquiries.

The Roster & Work-Life Balance:
- The shifts are rostered in advanced and cover days, evenings and overnights.
- Shift lengths: 8 to 9.5 hours (we actively limit overtime).
- No weekends!
What’s in It for You?
This is a opportunity to expand your skill set beyond general practice and gain hands-on experience with specialist procedures, advanced sedation and anaesthesia (including ventilator use and nerve blocks) and complex medical cases such as endoscopy and neurology. You’ll also refine your skills in surgical and medical patient management, including catheters, bandaging, fluid therapy, pain management and pathology.
We also offer weekly journal clubs, daily rounds, morbidity & mortality rounds and continuing education opportunities to ensure you’re always learning and growing!
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for a reflective, growth-oriented vet with at least 1–3 years of general practice experience, but new graduates with a strong learning mindset are welcome to apply.
