  • Practice Nurse Team Leader – Registered Nurse
  • Permanent Part Time Minimum 3 days a week
  • We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Nurse Team Leader to oversee and support our nursing team.
  • This is a predominantly hands-on clinical role, working within the treatment room of a busy general practice. The Nurse Team Leader is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while also providing day-to-day leadership, supervision and support to the nursing team. The role combines direct clinical care with a supportive leadership function to ensure safe, effective and person-centred services across the practice.
  • Responsibilities
  • • Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
  • • Coordinate daily nursing activities and manage team workload efficiently.
  • • Work closely with GPs, practice managers, and admin staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • • Support professional development and training within the nursing team.
  • • Monitor compliance with clinical governance, protocols, and best practices.
  • • Participate in patient care, including assessments, treatments, and health promotion.
  • • Contribute to practice improvement initiatives and quality assurance.
  • Selection Criteria for Nurse Team Leader
  • 1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in nursing and chronic disease management
  • 2. Ability to provide comprehensive and compassionate general practice nursing – clinical competence
  • 3. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • 4. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • 5. Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment
  • 6. Computer software and systems proficiency
  • 7. Bachelor of Nursing – current AHPRA registration – no restrictions
  • 8. Relevant checks as required by legislation
  • 9. Maintain collaborative relationships with GP’s Allied Health and specialists
