Families & Communities Engagement Officer (Merredin)  

Are you passionate about supporting families and helping children thrive through inclusive, community-based programs? Amity Health is seeking a friendly, organised, and culturally aware Families & Communities Engagement Officer to deliver playgroup sessions and provide outreach support for families in the region.

About the Role 

In this rewarding role, you will create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and families attending our playgroup program. You will also play an important part in promoting the benefits of early childhood social development, building community connections, and improving access through practical supports such as transport. 

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide a warm, inclusive, and safe space for children and their families to play and connect. 
  • Coordinate and deliver engaging activities aligned with the playgroup program’s goals. 
  • Promote the benefits of participation through community engagement and outreach. 

 

This is a casual position, located in Merredin. 

 

Our team are looking for a confident communicator who enjoys helping others and works well as part of a team.  

Our must haves are: 

  • Proven experience supporting both children and adults in community settings. 
  • Skilled in planning and delivering group-based programs or activities. 
  • Culturally competent with the ability to engage diverse individuals and families. 
  • A valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence and National Police Clearance. 
  • National Disability Clearance Check and Working with Children Check.
