About the Role

As Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll guide clients through the early stages of workplace transformation — turning vision into a clear, costed and buildable plan before construction begins. Acting as a trusted adviser, you’ll lead the journey from concept through to construction handover, providing commercial clarity, managing risk and ensuring clients feel informed and confident at every step. You’ll collaborate closely with Designers, Estimators, Sales, Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure a seamless transition into delivery.

Key stages you’ll manage include:

  • Concept design & initial budgeting
  • Detailed planning & compliance preparation
  • Design development & cost refinement
  • Tendering & market pricing
  • Construction handover

What You’ll Do

  • Educate clients through a structured design and cost journey
  • Manage budgets, programs, approvals and documentation (IFC, permits, NCC compliance)
  • Oversee consultant and subcontractor engagement through to handover
  • Provide accurate cost reporting and commercial advice
  • Collaborate with Sales and Estimating teams on bids and pitches
  • Ensure projects transition into construction with clarity and confidence

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ Project Management experience, ideally in a Design & Construct environment in Australia or the UK
  • Proven delivery of workplace fit out projects
  • Strong commercial acumen and cost planning capability
  • Experience guiding clients through multi-stage design and budgeting processes
  • Confidence using systems such as Procore, ACC, Excel and MS Project
  • Qualifications in Construction or Project Management (preferred)
