The Role

We’re seeking a Make Safe Team Lead to oversee our NSW team, based at our Head Office in Kunda Park

In this role, you’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver fast, efficient, and quality make safe repairs, ensuring we meet client expectations and service level agreements every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support the Make Safe team to achieve KPI’s and service targets
  • Review team leave to ensure adequate coverage at all times
  • Monitor trade invoices and costs alongside supervisors
  • Oversee trade lifecycles and reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trades and stakeholders
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new staff
  • Conduct probation reviews and regular one-on-ones
  • Ensure works are completed “right first time” with high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, insurers and internal teams
  • Manage cost control while maintaining quality outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with Australian building codes, OH&S and company policies
  • Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe work practices
  • Manage high-risk activities (e.g. asbestos, mould)
  • Work within insurer guidelines and portfolio requirements
  • Support a multi-trade approach to minimise rework and delays

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade qualification or strong equivalent industry experience
  • Previous leadership or team management experience
  • Strong understanding of insurance building or make safe works (highly regarded)
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Knowledge of construction OH&S legislation
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on results
  • Flexibility to handle after-hours calls when required
