Description

Are you looking for a desktop role to transfer your building and restoration knowledge or prior make safe skills into? This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of Australia’s leading insurance repair and restoration builders from our Kunda Park office. Ambrose Construct Group are seeking motivated individuals to join our Make Safe team. If you’re eager to develop your skills in supervising, scheduling, and coordinating make safes, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As part of our team servicing multiple insurers, you will be responsible for triaging water damage claims with customers, coordinating restorers and trades for emergency responses, and ensuring make safes are completed before handing over the site to a Building Estimator for further damage assessment.

Please note: This is an office-based role, not site-based.

The role:

  • Full-time hours on a rotating roster (Monday to Friday).
  • Liaise with customers via phone and video, where communication and customer service are key.
  • Coordinate emergency make safes and review trade reports, whilst communicating with trades and maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Learn how to apply your technical knowledge to find innovative and effective make safe and restoration methods.

Highly desirable characteristics & skills:

  • Background in insurance, trades, or restoration is desirable but not essential.
  • A keen eye for detail and the confidence to engage with trades to ensure clear documentation.
  • A proactive and organised mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic IT knowledge- ability to learn our systems and software with ongoing provided training and support.
  • Commitment to learning a specialised, industry-valued skill.
