We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting the integrity, accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

This position is critical to ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting compliance obligations and maintaining strong financial controls. You’ll work closely with the broader finance team and key stakeholders across the business to deliver reliable financial information that underpins effective decision-making.

The role also contributes to payroll oversight, statutory reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, requiring strong attention to detail, technical capability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely
  • Investigation and resolution of variances to deliver accurate financial results with minimal post-close adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards to support clear, reliable and decision-useful reporting.
  • Support statutory and compliance reporting obligations, including BAS, GST, FBT, audit processes and ABS surveys, ensuring all requirements are met accurately and on time with well-managed audit outcomes.
  • Contribute to finance systems and process improvements by enhancing controls, documentation and efficiency, while supporting ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support across Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring accurate transaction processing, prompt resolution of queries and strong data integrity.
  • Oversee the third-party payroll provider, including preparation of payroll journals and reconciliations, and partner with People & Culture to resolve payroll queries and support audits—ensuring payroll is accurate, compliant and reflected correctly in financial reporting.

 

What we’re looking for: 

  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Experience in financial accounting, audit or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Exposure to statutory reporting requirements and audit processes
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience with finance systems and process improvement initiatives highly regarded
