Description

Looking for a role where your attention to detail genuinely matters? Where you can build technical capability, grow your career and enjoy flexibility at the same time?

At Altogether, we provide embedded network electricity, water and wastewater services to communities across Australia. Our Billing Administration team plays a critical role in ensuring customers are billed accurately, fairly and on time – and we’re growing.

We’re hiring Billing Admin Specialists, with progression opportunities as your capability develops.

Why join us?

  • Hybrid working model (3 days in office, 2 days work from home) – flexibility to work from home and the Brisbane office
  • Supportive and stable team environment
  • Clear progression pathways
  • Exposure to commercial and large account billing
  • Opportunity to contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Be part of a business that supports thriving communities

This is more than a data-entry role – it’s about protecting revenue, ensuring compliance, and delivering a great customer experience.

About the role.

As a Billing Admin Specialist, you will:

  • Prepare and validate billing data including tariffs, charges, and consumption

  • Ensure invoices are accurate, compliant, and issued on time

  • Investigate billing anomalies and resolve disputes

  • Analyse meter data and consumption discrepancies

  • Support regulatory compliance and audit readiness

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

You’ll work closely with Customer Operations, Finance, Account Managers, and meter data providers to ensure billing integrity across residential, small business, and large commercial customers.

What we are looking for.

You’re someone who:

  • Has strong attention to detail and enjoys working with data

  • Is confident using Excel and ERP/billing systems

  • Can manage multiple priorities and tight billing cycles

  • Communicates clearly and professionally

  • Is proactive in identifying issues and improving processes

  • Works well both independently and as part of a team

Experience in utilities, billing or finance administration is highly regarded – but we also value transferable analytical skills and a strong learning mindset.

What success looks like.

  • Accurate, on-time invoice generation

  • Reduced billing errors and exceptions

  • Strong stakeholder relationships

  • Proactive identification of process improvements

  • Positive contribution to team morale and culture

If you’re looking for a stable, flexible role where your analytical skills make a real impact — and where you can grow into more complex commercial and regulatory work – we’d love to hear from you.
